Welcome to the website of Second Parish Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Portland, Maine. We are a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, a denomination committed to the faithful teaching and preaching of the Word of God as contained in the Old and New Testaments and summarized in the Westminster Standards.

Our roots are the 16th century Reformation and its distinctive points, the five "Sola's": Sola Fide (Faith alone), Sola Gratia (Grace alone), Solus Christus (Christ alone), Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (to the Glory of God). The 16th century Reformation, however, was not the birth of a theology but a renaissance of biblical Christianity, the theology of Scripture.
